BF3, your anti-virus, and you

As many of yalll are aware, I havent been able to play BF3 for the last couple of weeks. After spending countless hours tweaking, re-downloading, and hardware switching, EA was finally able to figure out what was causing me not to be able to play BF3 properly. Apparently there is something written into the BF3 premium download that is considered a virus by the new virus definitions that had been released with many anti-virus programs. If you are currently having problems with your BF3 since premium was released, this is something you might want to check into. If you need any information please feel free to ask =)
 
i remember when my antivirus gave me problems for bf3, it deleted some files for PB and that screwed me up badly.
 
Yea I had to get a new antivirus >.< but its worth it to be able to play again.
 
Free antivirus is the way to go! 7 years gaming and no problems! Glad your back Nobel!

I use AVG Free edition but often use search&destroy spybot, and Malwarebytes for adiditional protection.

I hear Avast is good aswell as using Windows Essentials I believe its called.
 
Oh dear avg refused to let me play Wow, so I went to avast and it refuses to let me play my steam games, haven't looked into it though too busy having fun.....LOL
 
Bitdefender is pretty good it lets me do everything however it is a little taxing on the computer.

I use that on one of my old laptops, and Norton Internet Security on my desktop.

Antivirus programs cause SO many problems these days. Hard finding one that works well. I use Symantec corporate cause it's very slimmed down and I don't have the website protection crap on there. That's the biggest problem with most, they block way too much stuff.
