Mic not working in eGO servers

Hey

I seem to be having a problem with my mic only in eGO servers, it works perfectly fine in vent at the same time as i play and also works in other servers.

I use a built in mic on my imac 27inch and i have been for 8 months with no problems at all.

My computer specs are

Imac 27 inch mid 2011
Processor 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB
Intel High Definition Audio
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4

I have run all the checks i know, updated all the software and audio drivers and as the problem only lies in our servers i know that the mic is fine and that all my settings are fine in steam.

When i join DOD i can test my mic in voice tab and it works fine then as soon as i join one of our servers it goes all distorted and robot like in both game and test mic function in voice tab.

I do however when i join get a long list of error codes in console which i have attached in 2 documents to this post.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated

Do you use custom skins?

A lot of the errors seem skin related, I would say for the mic you may need to reinstall the game. Verify cache through steam 1st but that verify can be a load of crap, it may take a full uninstall/reinstall. Try to run steam as admin also see if that changes anything also.

I verified the game and also have reinstalled couple of days ago still not working. The weird thing is it seems to be fine in some servers and goes all robotic in others the mic it self works still but just sounds distorted and muffled.

Ive read it may be down to certain servers having different voice settings, but im not to sure.

I shall try and run as admin when i get home.

That is about the only other thing i could attribute it to. If your mic is working on vent fine and other places fine we know for sure it's not your mic. Which would only lead to servers voice settings being the problem.
