CSGO Rotation Server Gone; Replaced by Inferno Only Server?

The Classic Casual server was changed into a 24/7 Inferno.

We also added a Jail server.

We changed it to Inferno due to the fact that it was a huge hit on the rotation server. The rotation server wasn't doing too well on its own so we feel that this change will be beneficial.

Thank you for understanding,

MGR

You know I do understand that, as I've been bringing it up and discussing it with you and others here for days, but the reason why it wasn't doing well in general was because, while some maps were popular, others were not, and on the unpopular maps people would start to vacate the server. What could remedy that situation would be to install RTV, or just pull the one or two unpopular maps from the rotation that were killing the server. I don't understand why no remedies such as this were even tried before abandoning it.

As you know this was my favorite server, as well as a favorite of others too, and now we are all left with no alternative but to play on non-ego servers for rotation, and that's very frustrating and even upsetting.

bad monkey it right just pull the one or two unpopular maps from the rotation... very sad about it being taken away and would like to see it back soon = ([/QUOTE]

Why not pull the un popular maps? It was popular when it wasn't on those maps

When eGO perfects the CS:GO servers I will get on but I am still stuck on CS:S all the way.

I bought CS:GO and can't play it because the only server I ever play is gone :(. I'm sure it'll be back once CS:GO actually gets popular.... well I hope

If everyone uses that logic, then CSGO servers will never throw off. Also, sometimes giving suggestions and helping the servers "perfect" will be better on a long term, because maybe no one notices certain map you enjoy, but no one ever populated it, so leadership removed it.

Served.

Since this server has been changed from rotation to Inferno it's doing even worse than before...

Why not just put it back to rotation, and address the issues utilizing one or both of the simple solutions I suggested previously?

I feel the consensus here is that pulling the rotation entirely was perhaps a bit premature. Smaller measures could have been taken and may have proved to be a better solution.

I REALLY enjoyed the way rotating kept the game fresh and got you to work on your technique in maps you did not always get to play on. If we end up getting down to just map specific servers, that will get old fast. With that, in order to keep it fresh, we would have to just keep server hopping and that is not a good way to build up servers.

Hopefully you guys will at least consider the possibility of reverting back to some form of a rotation server.

We could even have a thread on the forum dedicated to a vote for our top four or so favorite maps to have in a rotation. Then it would be a rotation server specifically chosen by the people, for the people. ;)
