So infuriating to have players, who when I start them do terrible, but the second I put them on the bench get 15+ points in an extremely close (low-scoring) game!!

Dear Yahoo! Fantasy Users,

I want to sincerely apologize to all of you about today's Yahoo! Sports Fantasy outage. As the head of Yahoo! Sports and as a Yahoo! Sports fantasy player myself, I am disappointed that we failed all of our fans today. Our first priority is having the best experience for our users, and today we fell short.

The outage started around Noon ET (awful timing we know) and while our team was on it immediately we are still working on various pieces. Our team is continuing to work on identifying and resolving the root cause. We have restored full functionality on the website, and we're working for a final fix for our mobile apps. Currently data and scores can be viewed but for now you cannot make transactions or change line-ups from the apps.

We will also use today as an opportunity to improve our set-up so that we hopefully never have an outage like this again. Our fantasy commissioners and players are our biggest priority - we pride ourselves in being able to offer our users with the best fantasy sports experience possible and we take our job to deliver that to you very seriously. Rest assured we will work hard to make sure we continue to deliver on that commitment.

It's just 1 random outage (sure it happened at the worst time, i.e. 1 hour before kickoff) in our 3 years so far.

Apart from that, I enjoy the simplicity of Yahoo's set up. Also, since all our historical league data from the past 2 seasons is already on Yahoo, I would be leaning towards staying with them. I think I tried ESPN like 5-6 years ago and it was full of bugs but I'd imagine it's very different now.

As I don't have any recent experience with ESPN or NFL.com, can you guys share what's better about those sites?
 
I have used ESPN before, but I keep coming back to Yahoo for both fantasy baseball and football. I had already set my team prior to the outage so I was ok, I was more upset over the iOS app not working so I could check the scores, very trivial in my case.

Had you accepted my offer you would have earned about 75 points from two players this week. Everyone else, please stop offering me scrubs for my best player:p I had like 5 offers for AP all of which were ridiculous.
 
I use ESPN with my family league and I like it a lot more. Whoever does the fantasy projections for Yahoo is wrong an awful lot, where on ESPN they're closer most of the time. Of course you have your weeks where one guy does great or doesnt do so good, but it seems like on Yahoo (At least for me) Im constantly getting below the projected points, even on consistent players. Plus I always get distracted by the Yahoo front page, and those stories that they have, so when I want to change up my team, I normally lose a half hour just reading those stories,
 
In case you guys didn't see it, our trade deadline is THIS Friday. So get those offers out asap!
 
It is possible that at least one 6-7 team can make the playoffs. There are 4 players definitely in the playoff (Efren, IOSA, Wewo, Beef), leaving 4 spots open. There are seven players who can go 7-6 or better. However, four of them already have 6 losses and play each other. Therefore, two of the seven will be no better than 6-7. Faceman can be no worse than 7-6, leaving 3 spots with four remaining teams who can go 7-6 or better. However, of those four it is possible that they lose some or all of their remaining games and go 6-7 (not sure how many). Based on the matchups and odds It is likely that two more teams make it to 7-6, which would leave one spot for a 6-7 team. We will know more next week.

Needless to say, the 4-7 teams would have to win the remaining two games. Of those teams, Skippy has the most points (by far) and is likely to be highest ranked 6-7 team provided he wins all remaining games. However, a 6-7 team may even win the Avalanche Division and automatically make the playoffs. Last, I am not sure, but I do not think anyone other than Fight is mathematically eliminated, not even Compton:p We will know much more next week.

Of course, none of this matters since I will no longer be the bride's maid; I am taking it all this year:)
