Need help creating spray

I have made a spray that I think is awesome, but it was exported as a PNG file. I created it with the intention of having a transparent background, but can't seem to make it stay transparent in .jpg form, can anybody help with this?

For transparent spray, use targa

For transparent spray, use targa

This or even vtf will work.
