I bought Oblivion with ALL 9 DLCS a couple of days ago and ever since I entered the sewers and went outside into the games world I keep having random crashes. I've tried lowering the settings, (NO HDR, BLOOM), to full settings with HDR. Still crashes.

I also even tried going into the ini file to try and tweak it (Adding more ram, buffer size, graphic changes, etc) still crashes. It seems to crash now (trying to get to a Camp about missing artifacts) when I'm killing wolves. It use to crash randomly while panning my character to look around, but now it seems to take effect on it with the wolves.

Don't think it has anything to do with hardware sound acceleration either, as I've just tried that and still crashes. I've also tried disabling desktop composition, with it still crashing constantly.

I've played Skyrim before and had no problems with it.

Computer Spec's:

Is it even possible to run Oblivion on those specs? It's outdated and really unoptimized. I'd say Skyrim runs better on most computer then Oblivion does.

Try installing the unofficial patch here and the addon unofficial patch here. They fix a ton of bugs in the entire game world.

I still get crashes. It didn't start until I brought the Amulet to Jauffre and was told to find Martin. I also downloaded all of the DLC patches as well.

After researching a bit someone came up with an answer that it may have something to do with Audio codecs, which would seem likely, as I've had a problem with this before. Someone also mentioned about AC3Filter and reinstalling it.

So I will try these two in a bit, but I thought I'd post these in case someone else is having the same problem.

Update: Crashed after a couple of hours of game play, but haven't crashes constantly yet.

It appears that K-lite Full codec package (reinstalled) fixed most of the problems as it showed a codec I installed caused crashing problems.

As a extra measure, if you haven't already check for updates in practically everything on your computer (Windows Updates, Video-Card/Graphics Update, etc)

Sometimes those tend to mess up with gameplay as well.

I've checked, there's really nothing left to update, but I think I fixed most of the crashes. It was due to some Audio Codecs.
