Strange, I went to the Steam Store to see what DOTA 2 was all about and apparently I own it. I don't recall ever buying it... I wonder if it came with another game I bought.

Some say it's going to be FTP, but I don't think the development team has fully decided on this yet. For now though, it is free (you can sign up for it). Unless they've taken down the signups for it.

They've absolutely committed to the Free-To-Play model at this point, and you can still sign up on the site via the survey and get in now. Apparently the wait times are drastically reduced from what they once were, I've known a couple people to get their invite the same day they submitted the survey.

I suspect they'll be "releasing" the game fully FTP sometime this Spring.
