New forum-sections layout

What does everyone think about the new layout?

Personally, wasn't expecting it, and although I liked having the blue/clear dots to signify whenever a new post is made in the OpX Division section - it's nice.

If it's possible, you could perhaps make it have the same effect with the individual games' images in the OpX section as the regular blue/clear dots have?

EDIT2: It already has the 'Double click to mark content in this forum read' thing if you actually click the Opx logo above all the game-forums, but as far as the image lighting up n what not next to the game forums (Both in the afore mentioned link and if you are just on the Index page) it just sticks.

Right now, I personally dislike it, but namely because it doesn't look like everything is up and running. The new post/thread warning for the Op:X division comes to mind for the various games under its banner. I'll give a new opinion once there are more updates on the site.

That large gap in between youtube and forum games. Why is it there, why not move art work up into that large gap.

I also dislike how the ban request/contest and eG/eGO private are laid out vertically and not horizontally. Vertical alignment takes up too much space and just looks (pardon my bad terminology) ugly


Other than those 2 nitpicks it's nice.

To me - It was much easier to navigate through the forums because I was used to it. I looked at it for the first time today and I was just confused on how to find some of the forums sections. I dislike it right now. But with some modification I am sure it will get better I suppose.

The forums are coded to have two columns. The tech team initially tried three columns, but it was messing with the width of the forums.

The spacing is so that things don't look too cluttered. The goal is to have things as neat and organized as possible.

They're meh, I'm fine with them. They look better organized.

I'm a fan of the new look - it's easier for me to find things in the columns than when everything was all mashed together on one or two lines.

I like it! Although I didn't realise it at first, so it didn't make a big impression on me. Glad to see people are trying out new stuff. Keep it up, Tech-staff!
