Code 5 error with new PC

Drove 2 hours to micro center (both ways) today cause on an awesome deal. Get back and get everything set up, but I cant install my OS.
Tried XP, 7, and 8 but I keep getting:
CDBOOT: Can not boot from cd. Code 5.

But, When I put them in my other pc, they read just fine...

Intel i5 3570k
1tb Barracuda HD
8gb Vengence corsair ddr3
Nvidia 440GT

I got this error when I tried to install windows 7 in an old MoBo. The problem was the BIOS was too old to read the disc.
What I did to fix this was I took the install dvd, made a copy of it on my laptop, then rewrote it to a new disc.

If you cant write a disc, you should be able to write the disc image to a USB Flash drive
I just used a dvd ripper to turn the disc into an iso file, then used a generic usb boot drive program.

When you day disk, you mean an actual disk or a Dvd?

Also tried the usb method. didnt work:
"Reboot and please insert proper boot media"


And no, I dont have windows 8. Borrowed a firend's copy.

Never mind. Got win7 to force boot off my usb. Now everything looks good

EDIT#2:
Win7 64 bit is installed and updated. Drivers installed, and im posting this from my new pc

the solution to my problem was embarrassingly simple... There was an option to "Force Boot USB/HDD". once checked it read the .iso of win7 from my USB like a charm.

Yes.

Code 5 usually indicates incompatibility in an old motherboard. In this case, it's having trouble processing information from your rom.

You can force install windows 7 or you can do what DJ Wolf did.
