Hello ladies and gents I have a problem with my hw...my instruction says... "Apply number formats for each expense in the second and third columns that require a number." can someone explain? I don't remember learning this and can't find it in my book...I figure one of you computer geniuses could help me =)

I stopped reading at "apply number"... sorry, I'm not good at math :P

No this is in Microsoft Word 2010 also sorry i forgot to mention that...I have a table that has 3 columns...the last two columns have titles such as

To Airport: From Airport:
Miles driven: Mileage:
Number of Nights: Amount per night:
Number of Days: Amount per day:
Number of Days: Amount per day:
Number of Days: Amount per day:
Qty: Amount:
Qty: Amount:
Qty: Amount:

and it literally just says Apply number format...does it have to do with the macro that its having me use?

I believe the answer would be to fill out the expenses in an excel sheet, in the B and C column. However, I am not so sure about a number format. :(
I assume you'd have to do some calculations within excel.

Wait, can you explain wat you need again. Is this word or excel?

Since this is about expenses, I would assume it is about excel. Word is much more cumbersome to make calculations in.

Hey Lark, Can you post the exact question as it is written? (i.e can you post a picture of it?)
