Okay so I've had this problem ever since I installed Black Ops 2 last Friday so I can try it out on steam (don't hate on CoD). It wanted me to install Steam Client Bootsrapper so I did... After installing that and the game I decided to restart steam. When I looked at my steam it showed this:

I didn't care for it too much because it didn't affect me but after I started to get this error:

Note: I looked into this and saw that the first and second problem were related. Mostly everyone said repairing steam would fix it. I tried that and it worked(problem came back though). Also for the second problem I can only play one game session and then I will have to restart my steam to go back to the game after taking a break or going to another game.

I started getting this last problem on either Monday or Tuesday. And I have found no solution to fixing it at all after looking into the problem for hours. I was not even part of the beta testing so i have no clue how I was in the beta:

Note: I have updated it like 50 or 60 times but I still get the message to update.

This is usually what comes while I restart steam to update:

PLEASE HELP ME!!! I don't want to uninstall steam and have to get all my files back, but if I have no other choice I will.

Honestly I would just re install steam and save the headache, with three differing errors going on it might be easier.

the 1st one i can tell you how to fix that. if you want to see if it will work without reinstalling steam first find your steam folder and move your ClientRegistry.blob to a different folder, then restart your steam and it should fix your first problem. As for the other 2 my steam has been doing them both but not everyday, maybe once in a week...

you don't even need to move the .blob file.. just delete it and restart Steam and it will auto update the platform

I once had an issue like this. Here is the steam support

Hello,

We apologize for the long delay.

To resolve issues with the Steam client, please try the following.

Please exit Steam and go to the folder called C:\Program Files\Steam\ (this is the default location for a Steam installation - if you set a different installation directory, you will need to browse to it).

Delete all of the files in this folder except:

The \Steamapps\ folder and Steam.exe (this file is listed as an application and features the black and white Steam logo)

Restart your computer.

Then, launch Steam.exe from within the Steam installation folder, and not from a pre-existing shortcut.

With Steam running, re-test the original issue.

Note: This process will not affect your currently installed games.

If the issue persists, make sure your network is optimized for Steam:

I already tried deleting the ClientRegistry.blob but it didn't work.

And thanks Dutch I'll try that and see if it works.
