Planning on going to a few cons(no prize for guessing the type of Con i'm going to), but don't really have that much money for tickets AND stuff, so just wondering, is there a way I can sell stuff from tf2 for paypal moneyz? like $1.49 for keys or $0.49 per refine? is there any type of rule or anything against it?

Also that one market place gives you steam wallet $, which is completely useless on things that are not in steam

Any sort of trading your perform outside of Valve's system is not supported and you are doing it at your own risk. There isn't any rule against it, good luck!

Well might as well try it with people I trust then in eGO.....wonder if I'll get in trouble if I pput it in the "trading" forums? can anyone confirm it?

You can't do it on the steam market. Any money within Valve's chubby fingers, stays there.

As for other methods of transaction, do it at your own risk. Be extremely sure the person is trustworthy xP That is dangerous grounds.

As stated in the Trading Forum Rules post:
- eGO does no support trading in-game items or hats for any service that connot be directly traded in a Steam Trade window. This includes, but is not limited to, money, non-steam games, goods, and services. Any threads that involve trading non-Steam items or currency are subject to deletion or moderation at the discretion of TF2 Leadership.

If you're going to start doing Paypal transactions, get your Steam Rep looking good, and make sure to have ~1 scammer friend on your friends list. Traders take scammer friends as a red flag, and since the fact you're just starting, people are going to be very wary of doing trades with you. Chances are, you'll have to go first about 80% of the time. For example, I have no scammer friends for mine. http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198006355986

SourceOP is a good site for money transactions, people frequent it's forums looking for cheap keys, maxs, buds, bills, unusuals, etc. Don't be a jerk and people will +rep you and come to like you. But don't be too kind either, you have to say no to some things.

tip - give discount for buying keys in bulk. Typical price for keys is about $1.50-$1.20. Every five keys could be like, say a .50 cent discount.

......TO TF2OUTPOST!!!!!!

Fml ~_~

PLEASE DON'T USE OUTPOST FOR MONEY TRADES!!?!?1/1/1/

Just be very very careful Lyra make sure you have a system first before you start selling.

paypal trading is very dangerous for the seller right now, and not just for TF2. Paypal offers no protection for virtual items and very little for non-virtual items. All a buyer has to do is receive goods and then dispute the charge on paypal. They will get their money back and your paypal account will be charged (whether there is money in it or not).

I run a small business through ebay and I have stopped accepting paypal as a form of payment as the convenience is not worth the risk. I lost around US$2700 in product because of this and I do not sell virtual items. Paypal leave 100% of the burden of proof on the seller and is still very picky about what they consider to be proof of successful delivery.

I would strongly advise against selling TF2 items on paypal.
