Help! Css Choke/Lerp/LAG

Hey guys, I am having some trouble with css whilst being connected too the american servers from UK. I am getting very high choke like up too 100 and average about 50 and my IN packets are like 1000 and out is around 100 :O This is making it really hard for me too play the game on the servers. I fixed it yesterday but it didnt save so ive been trying too find commands I can use too fix it and keep it saved on there like in an autoexec.cfg < I dont know how too make that file work..

So what I am looking for is for someone too try and help me like give me cl_cmdrate and cl_interp cl_interp_ratio settings and any other settings which could help me fix this. Also when i go into my program files then steam I cant see my user name only common why is this? :O

I have no idea what any of this means....the only thing I do know is that when playing from the UK, you'll get a lot of lag. The server is in Dallas, Texas I think so you'll receive much lag. I'm pretty sure you cannot fix it unless you move or get a better computer.

When you say choke, do you mean ping? Because 100 isn't very high ping at all, and should be fully playable.

My ping is always aroung 150 - 200, just because I am from Finland

Your CStrike folder is in common now. I don't have any choke issues and I play from the UK as well.

Might be a program you're running, or someone else in the house is running. Ask if anyones torrenting or playing anything or stuff like that.

What are your rates?

Your download and upload have nothing to do with your ping to a server. Ping is based off distance from the server. Your ping will not improve since you are in another country xP

mines fine too, whats your net like? im on bt infinity fibre optic like 100mb download, 50mb upload

Go to speedtest.net and do a test to a server in the US.

I'm not sure why people are still shotgunning ping issues, choke has to do with the server taking too many packets from clients and being unable to handle any more.

Although I could be wrong, most of these posts are irrelevant as choke has to do with your rates and not ping. Type "net_graph 3" in your console and you'll have to mess with cl_cmdrate x, and cl_updaterate x. I personally keep it at a 3/4 ratio to get the best settings(ex: 30/40).

I usually get high choke when there are over 30+ people in a server. Try using a gamebooster to close down excess programs running in the back ground, that helps me a lot. Lower in game gfx details or try to use a lower directx level to smooth out problems.
