I need a config.. and no not just resolution...

I need help finding a perfect config and how to install it.. because i tried to do it myself and now im like 2 fps.. couldn't even play the rumble..

I have a x2 4400+ 2.2ghz and a 8600gt and a 3.25gb of ddr running at 129mhz..

When i play i only use like 20% of my gpu too.. so.. um
 
I use tf2mate to get maxfps. It's really easy to install. o-o

Although, only the only problem with it, is that it forces a lot of things on you, meaning like key binds, and crosshairs. It also forces you to see your fps on hud and/or when you push tab. But if you needed to change keybinds and such, I usually just redo the config settings and re-install.

To install, all you do is move the cfg folder into your tf folder.

I had to switch back to the original just because of that.

I never liked distractions, but it's great nonetheless.
 
So, nothing works.. i used the max config.. still at like 12 fps.. and my gpu was at like 20%...
I used default fps is at 30, gpu is at like 12%
Max out all the settings, gpu is at 35% fps is at 25....

Got no clue how to fix issues like that .. I remember seeing something though.
 
Whats you dxlevel? Dropping it to mat_dxlevel 89 helped out my fps greatly.
Also setting a heapsize for your ram...for 3.5 GB go to your launch options and type" -heapsize 1572864".
 
So, double post, but new info...

I used chris max, not the ugly max but the prettiest max.. the movie one.. i think.. I got 30 fps max and like 12 avg.. with a 60-80% gpu...

Maybe you're trying to use too little GPU power? Maybe in trying to use less GPU you're actually going below the minimum.

Just a stab in the dark, I don't know much about it.
