Hey all, I just built a new computer to replace my dying laptop. I decided to make it a nice one. The parts are from Newegg and Micro Center (it was $1850 total, Idol :)). Here is a spec list:

CPU - Ivy Bridge i5 3570k
Motherboard - ASUS Sabertooth Z77
GPU - MSI HD7950 Twin Frozer
Case - Antec Twelve Hundred v3 Full Tower
SSD - Samsung 840 Pro 120GB
HDD - WD Black Caviar 1TB
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB 1600MHz
Water Cooling - Antec KUHLER 620
Sound Card - ASUS Xonar DSX 7.1
Monitor - Acer 27"
PSU - Corsair Professional Series HX850
Some random optical drive

During the picture taking process, I snapped my headset in half by stepping on it =(

Ready to slay some people on Dustbowl again! ^_^

The case was tough to build with, but I really like it now that it's up and running. It had 6 stock fans on it, one being a 200mm on top, so it's stayed real cool so far. Right now I'm just pulling, but might mess around with it when I start torture testing.
 
Haswell is more expensive and doesn't offer many noticeable advantages over Ivy Bridge in the desktop arena. Plus the 3570k overclocks like a beast. I'm hoping to get it to 4.7-4.8 GHz, even though good ones can get to 4.9-5.0 GHz.

That's simply untrue, but it's your money so i'm not going to bother arguing. However, overclocking to 4.7-4.8? Good luck, it's feasible, but will reduce the CPU lifespan drastically and you'll need a really good aftermarket heatsink.

Maybe you didn't see but he's liquid cooling for HS.

I've never worried about overclocking my gear. So far I haven't had to replace anything from burning it out faster than I've had to actually upgrade it.

4670k is at 84w and
Single-threaded performance of the CPU is higher.
The Intel Core i5-4670K is 6% faster in multi-threaded programs.
Memory performance of the processor is better.
The i5-4670K includes AVX2 instructions, introduced in the recent past. These extensions are not broadly used by applications yet, but their support should improve in future apps.
FMA3 instructions are enabled on this CPU. This technology is only available on AMD microprocessors, for that reason it may not get broad support from software vendors.
 
And less power consumption. All in all, the 3570k is okay but the 4670k is definitely better. No doubt about that.
That maybe true, but what I heard it runs hotter than Ivry bridge. Which means OCing limit is going to smaller than Ivy..
