The M1911 is being replaced by a Piece of crap (imo) H&k Compact .45... This is a slap in the face to me. BUT GREAT NEWS Sig Sauer has been added to the equation, and with them comes the highly respected P226!!! Come adventure, come risk, come Battlefield 4 because you have given me something that I should not be allowed to use! P226 IS GONNA BE CAPPYS NEW HAPPY GUN Be afraid! Also if you're interested

I've fired many P226's each one I have enjoyed.

The handgun is an extension of Captain's soul.

I watched a JackFrags video which stated the guns in BF4 a few days ago, when I found out there was no M1911, I laughed.

You can always get permission to send home for a personnel weapon.
 
There might be a M1911 in like a battle-pack or expansion pack for premium maybe? I saw a video of all the weapons and stuff by lvlcap and he said that the premium weapons and battle-pack stuff where not put on the list. So there is still a chance
 
I for one am glad to finally see this.

Maybe now we can start to get more .45 ACP handguns. I love the 1911, but I'm tired of the old single stack mags that it brought. I'd really like to see a FNP/FNX-45 Tactical. 15+1 rounds of .45.

No M1911 is definitely a side sight. That was one of my favorite pistols in BC2 along with the hand cannon that is the rex. Good balance of power, firing speed, and magazine capacity. Here's to hoping it comes back in an expansion.
