No, Sephiroth, not bikini modeling. You can leave now.

I'm talking about like 3D modeling, like for in-game items and stuff. I have a couple of stunningly brilliant ideas, and I'd like to collaborate with someone to bring them to fruition. If our item gets greenlisted and/or added to the game eventually, I'd split the profits with you, 65% to you for doing the work and 35% for me for coming up with the idea. That's a long shot, of course.

Pm me if you're interested or whatever.

Please tell me you created that image specifically to post in this thread. It'd be cool if you found it online somewhere, of course, but it'd be that much more awesome if you created it just for this thread. XD

If you want to make content for games, you should learn how to do it yourself. Believe it or not, ideas aren't worth anything. Those who already have experience making content for games have thousands of their own ideas. Unless you're offering cash up front, artists just see these offers as "Hey, let me cash in on your hard work!"

This x10.

If you want to try out modeling, download Blender! Blender is a FREE, open-source modeling program which can get the job done, especially for beginners. I recommend looking at this [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-X5QGx2TP_8"]tutorial[/ame] to get you on the right path towards modeling items for TF2. I tried this, but stopped due to loss of interest and time restraints.

EDIT: New way to compile models and such. Click [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCMt-jfDgC4"]here[/ame] once you have finished with the other tut.
Good luck!

I personally use blender I've been using it for a good 2 year's now and it truly is a great tool to model also you might want to try out Unity 3D as well.

Here is something I've done using this program.

Unity is by no means for modelling.

Anyone who wants to start modelling should get Autodesk Maya. It's the industry standard for 3D modelling. It's quick and painless to get a free student license for 3 years.

The problem is I have no art skills whatsoever. I can't even draw a straight line in MSPaint. WITH the line tool.

Just takes practice and dedication, like with everything. With all the available resources you'll find in books and the internet, you could start making simple models in no time and gradually move on to making more complicated objects.

A year ago I didn't know the first thing about programming, and now here I am prototyping my first solo game in Unity.
