Anyone else gonna get this game? It reminds me quite a bit of SWAT 4 (back like I think its been 10 years ago now). What a fun game that was. I was really disappointed that they didnt continue the SWAT series.

Game looks pretty cool, I might be checking it out.

Node's invitational promo for this game was incredible. They were invited to an actual training ground for LA Swat. They learned some basic "tip of the iceberg" training tips and exercises for room and hallway clearing. Little language so I'm not posting it here, but it's worth checking out!

SWAT 4 was a really great game, they should of continued the series with that game, like you said.

I am going to buy this game sometime this week, looks like my type of game and the gameplay looks interesting along with the co op and such.

I'm holding off. Numerous reports that the game is broke and buggy on release. Going to wait and see if they fix it up a bit.

Takedown is a fun tactical game but it does have flaws as of now.

I'm sure all of you are aware but TD (that's how I'm abbreviating in) is not a run-and-gun game, it is a tactical shooter that requires individuals and teams to use tactics, special equipment, and patience above anything else. If you move slow and take deliberate actions you're likely to succeed against the difficult AI-- if you play it like CoD or CSS you will rage-quit and never play the game again.

The game is playable but has has problems with the interface, connection problems (currently using a program called Evolve to network), and some minor in-game issues. Basically, the majority of problems are how you select things, how the things you selected didn't get selected, and how someone thought that it was a good idea to have such a crappy UI.

In regards to SWAT 4, TD brings back a lot of joy from that game but makes you miss things like tasing old ladies, spy cameras, door stops, and the helmet cam feature. However, word on the street is that modders are already working on recreating SWAT 4 maps for TD.

TL;DR Fun game with problems. Still a fun tactical game. Buy it anyways, it's like $15 you cheapo.

P.S. A good chunk of the Op:X Arma crew have been playing TD for the past week, we know it has problems but it's a fun game that makes you play smart.
