I enjoy joining our server and having a blast using all the explosives to my hearts content; however I play on =ADK= #6 NO EXPLOSIVES server and they don't even allow smoke, flash, or flares. It would be nice to have a server like this, their server is constantly full and I am always waiting in the queue.

What do you guys think?

I agree no explosives, but yes on the smoke and other no lethal grenades, or else you will get mowed down on the choke points. Also it would be impossible to know who threw it

they used !report on people throwing the others.. I didn't like that very much but no explosives was so much fun or limit to 3 kills per round.

Honestly, I feel that the explosives are made for a reason, they help with the flow a lot. I was told by somebody that EA can actually SHUT DOWN THE SERVER just for putting limitations on the game. I have never liked no-explosives servers and I feel that we should keep explosives on ours.

Hi, I play and I personally do not like no explosives or flares. As said before me, I prefer for grenades and C4 to be used because it can be used to open up new pathways and the flow.

Playing primarily lockers for CQ they are just spammed over and over, that's not fun. Smoke, Flares, Flash Bangs are cool.

new pathways and flow?? could please explain an instance that is valid in Operation locker? All I see explosives create a HUGE barrier at bottle necked areas allowing no flow at all.

I think he's talking about blowing walls for 2 extra openings as opposed to the archway, or near the corridors before the kitchen area. That's the only place where blowing the walls can be helpful, but with loads of explosive spam it's not much better even after you open it up. I just think we'd gain a lot more activity without the explosives and it creates for a more enjoyable lockers.

my point exactly!

I enjoy the no-explosives servers as a change of pace. That is, until I start getting killed by grenades and arguing about the rules with pubbers.

Then it's always back to normal for me.

Locker has some design flaws for 64-players all tossing grenades or bouncing 40mm at once. But then again, war is hell. Can't say it isn't fun!

IIRC we don't because such restrictions are technically not allowed by EA on ranked servers.

Personally I feel that people should be allowed to play however they want because they, yes, they bought the game. So if grenade spam happens to be the way they play, so be it. Play smarter and flank and then you'll avoid the grenade spam.

Where is that documented in the regulations?

Server Administrators may implement and enforce rules that result in minor changes to gameplay behavior or styles as long as these are clearly stated before a player starts playing on a server. These rules typically introduce minor or limited restrictions on how a certain aspect of the game can be used, but do not create or promote an environment that would allow abuse of the scoring/award system. Examples of such rules that are acceptable are:

Disallowing repeated main base camping/attacking of bases that cannot be captured.
Limiting the use of mortars to a particular region of the map.

Server Administrators will also violate the T&Cs if they (i) use offensive server names, server art or clan tags; or (ii) encourage other players to violate the T&Cs while in game

I copied this from EA's ROC (Rules of conduct). They were set in place for BF3, but i doubt they have changed them

Okay, so from what it says it is legal to enforce no explosives since it doesn't abuse scoring/award system.

As long as in the server description/title it clearly states no explosives we're fine to restrict them.

I still we should keep the 24/7 lockers server the way it is, as it has the highest rank, currently at 390

New DLC and HC however is doing terrible it would seem, with a rank of 2314 and 2034. I would recommend changing one of these into a no explosives locker server. That way we may be able to get more players into it them and boost their rank.

I personally like playing with explosives as it requires you to pay more attention to where and how you move around

my 0.02$

changing lockers to no explosives shouldn't cause a decrease in popularity, the reason being people join it for CQC experience not for the nade fest. I feel its redundant to have 2 lockers. We should have warning which once you get 3rd kill with a explosive you are kicked...

I fully agree with that statement.however, during the time I have played in our server, once one person pulls out an lvg it becomes chain effect which to be honest because ridiculous amount of nade spam occurs. Sure you say go outside..but that doesn't help when enemy camping outside exists with c4.For instance, take B and D the enemy can easily camp in hill outside exists. In their POV they can easily see you coming from the exist. However, if you exist out of B or D you cannot see the enemies until fully exit the cave which you are fully exposed and have zero cover.

Why don't we find a better way to coach players than to tell them they will be kicked for using something that they paid money for. I'm not a big explosive user but it's part of the game and those people that use it did pay for it.

and your are suggesting?..kill them when do use it? then kick them after X numbers of kills with the explosives
