well still, its probably gonna have an impact

It might, especially to new players (who are most likely to use that option). But I think eGO has built up a solid reputation and as long as the servers are full to mostly full, players will still come and fill them out.

It's no fun to play on servers with trolls, spammers and harassers. New players usually figure out pretty quickly that they need to find a good community to play with.

Yeah, I found that out late last night. And my phone has been buzzing this morning with emails from the mailing list about it. I wish Valve would punish the rule breakers rather than all of us, but we'll just have to see how this goes.
