Who here played CCS here over 2 years ago?

For some reason I can never find my post in the forums. I have to search for it. A lot of people replied! I can remember some of you.:thumbup1: I play pretty Dust2 all the time. Sometimes I went to Italy, Office and Highschool when they started them up. Ive been playing dust maps since CS. Always been my fav. I can remember when there use to be Dust 24/7 only servers and that was the craze. Ive been playing cs since I was in like 8th grade. Im 29 now. Back when there was Won ID's. For some reason I always enjoy this game.

I know it says eG, but I put my name with an =(e)= tag because I have no admin. It seems like some of the servers have dropped off a lil. All them use to be full and now it seems like its just Italy and dust2. Anyways, off to play a bit!

I have been here since the beginning of eGO's inception, I am the architect.

i have been playing counter strike since its interception in 1999 i played thou all the betas and the orange box release that most people forget about and i started with half life way back in 1998 when it came out

i also started playing the original diablo, unreal tournament and Quake at the same time

FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T BELIEVE COUNTER STRIKE STARTED AS A INDEPENDENT MOD

The Half-Life SDK was used as a base for the development of many multiplayer mods, including the Valve-developed Team Fortress Classic (TFC) and Deathmatch Classic (DMC). Other mods such as Counter-Strike began life as the work of independent developers (self-termed "modders") who later received aid from Valve. Other multiplayer mods include Day of Defeat (DOD), Action Half-Life, Firearms, Science and Industry, The Specialists, Pirates, Vikings and Knights and Natural Selection.

This is true. I think the same (original) people who did the (original) Counter Strike also did SWAT. I remember the original SWAT games having some of the same gun sounds for the same guns as CS.

ya thanks for reminding me of that they did do swat and a few others somewhat similar and some used the same source engine

it was so popular that a number of games tried to copy off the success of counter strike

I am not sure but swat got lost and bypassed in the mist years ago

i have no clue if its still out there or not

The company's name is Sierra Games. SWAT was a fun game, especially SWAT 4.
