New Keyboard

Just ordered the Tt eSPORTS POSEIDON Illuminated Keyboard Brown Cherry MX switch edition. It will be my first mechanical keyboard. So, I was curious if anyone had heard any bad things about this keyboard. I hope it will be a good one. Thanks

The only negative points I can say about most mechanical keyboards are the loud key clicking noise that is made when typing. That is the main reason I was not able to buy one because my girlfriend lives with me and it would keep her up at night.

I don't know anything about the brand, but I use brown switches on my DAS Keyboard and it is great. It's not as loud as you'd think and it is so effortless to type on. Sometimes when I press my push-to-talk key in TeamSpeak I forget to let it go and I don't even realize that it is being held down.

Red switches are linear without a click noise.

- hbomb - I have used a blue, red, black, and brown switches and I think you made a great choice with brown. It is tactile, and like spark said, easy to forget it is held down

I recently bought this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823129019, and I like it. It is not very loud, feels nice. The illumination is awesome for low light situations. Since it is compact the number keys and arrow keys are combined, which is a little annoying, but worth it if you want a shorter keyboard.

Update !!!! My new Posiedon keyboard came in today and it feels really good. It is built real sturdy and weigh's in at 2.3lbs. The blue back lighting is a plus!!! Your right, the Cherry MX brown switch's feel great. I think I will be happy with this keyboard
