What do YOU call the game that is played in the World Cup?

I said soccer, but iz kinda both? It depends on if I'm in America or in Israel. In America I usually say soccer, in Israel I call it כדורגל which translates to football. Then there's also the fact that I don't really play actual games, we have different versions of playing in Israel, and we pretty much only play a kind called אחת עשרה which translates to eleven. No matter where we are we always call אחת עשרה (eleven) by it's name, אחת עשרה (eleven). So I guess I don't call it any of those? I don't know. It's confusing. Anyway, אחת עשרה is really fun to play and the loser has to let everyone kick the ball at his butt :3 Then, whoever is the farthest away from hitting the loser, has to start in the goal, which is a bad thing in this game.

also why do you yanks call your sport american football when half the time the so called ball ( more egg shape) is in your hands ? and thrown by your hands/arms. Should it not be called american hand ball ? lol

To me its football and your gamne is american football but each to their own, it doesnt really matter. Once people hear my accent and i mention football they know i mean what you call soccer
