We?re talking about the Summer of Sand event happening on the Egypt Server from now until August 30, 2014. There are 10 full weeks of fun and prizes this summer, and it all begins with you logging on to Egypt.
As many of you know, we have been battling a decline in our server rankings with one server falling to the cold hand of closure. Our fearless leader, Caelestis, is inviting everyone to stare adversity in the eye and make a difference. You can help the TF2 Division keep Egypt alive by playing and boosting its ranking with some added incentive to join the fun.
Each week of summer brings a new contest with a new prize and a new chance to win. So far, contests have included funniest screenshot on Egypt and most points in a single session. Even if you don?t win a weekly prize, you can take with you the eternal pride of knowing you helped save a server from an untimely death.
