Im just curious, how many would you play a hearthstone tournament? We will try and get prizes to be available, and maybe do them monthly/bi-monthly. but before I pursue this idea, id like to see how much interest there would be, before taking a step further.

Counter Strike had a random one and it was extremely fun!

I like this idea alot i know there are many in edge who play the game could be a fun thing.

I dont have any cards aside from the "starter" ones :(
Sure. If i remember about it.

Gotta start dropping some of that $$$.

Not true, it just makes it faster. If you complete your daily quests you can usually get an Expert Pack (5 cards) each day, maybe two. I've not spent a penny on the game and while I only have a couple legendary cards to show for it, it amounts to far more than the Starter and Basic cards.

On topic, I'd do it.

That's the long road to collect the cards you need/want. Although if you like the grind, that's totally cool as well. I just think the game is more fun when I can build whatever I want.

Better to spend gold on arena runs after you've gotten the hang of mechanics and value. You're guaranteed one pack, and after like 6 or so wins you get 150 gold back as well.
and I would love a tournament :o

So, to get this off of the ground, I've started a Google doc where we'll store everyone's Battletags. Just PM me your email and I'll share the doc with you. Put your Battletag down and I'll whip up a bracket once we've got everyone together.

I'm thinking that we'll do the last hero standing, which is best summed up here:

That format used the “Last Hero Standing” system, in which players constructed three decks of different classes to play best three-out-of-five matches. When a player lost with a deck, that deck could not be used for the remainder of the round. Once he or she lost with all three decks, the match was over.

Thoughts? Concerns? I'd really like to participate in this, so let's get cracking!

I completely forgot about this. If someone is gonna set it up, awesome! Otherwise, I wouldn't mind making an organized one with stuff.

Would any deck restrictions be taking place? I think the recent nerf of Starving Buzzard and Leeroy Jenkins make the game pretty balanced, so I don't think there's any need. Unless people are tired of facing Zool'Dan.

I'm fine with any decks being played. If everyone wants to cut a certain deck, I wouldn't say no, but it it's up to the majority.
