It was launched as "thefacebook.com" in February 2004.
It was originally only offered to Harvard and other colleges.

So technically, it has been live for 10 years.

It was made available to high school students in 2005, which is where I jumped on.

"On September 26, 2006, Facebook was opened to everyone at least 13 years old with a valid email address."

So yes, TECHNICALLY, Facebook hasn't been around to everyone for 10 years but TECHNICALLY it has been an established thing for 10 years.
