Reputation

The reputation doesn't really do anything. It's just there as a fun little thing that people can give or receive.

Ah ok , I notice in game increase and decrease and was wondering if it had to do with your chosen roles job laying cover fire for instance jumping on grenades to save a flag capture etc etc :)

No, Rep is completely up to the peoples. You can !up anyone, or !down anyone.

If you're a dedicated supporter for eGO I believe you get 5 points of rep per hour to give out, otherwise its only 3.

I am speaking about in game. Not forum, reputation, you know that right? Although where do I look to give rep at on the forums?

You can see how much in-game rep you have, however, on the top right side of your forum profile. Other then that, as Compton said, there isn't any forum rep

Yeah we're talking about in-game rep, there is no forum rep.

+1 . there is no forum Rep, although you can rate a thread (not a poster.

In-game is a plugin we have added to many of our games (All the source eGO servers play on have it (CS:S, DoD:S, TF2). I think we even have it on our CS:GO minigames. It may be something we created, the plugin.

Regardless, !up, !down !rep are just ways to give kudos to people in-game. Or take rep away for whatever reason (I try to not down people, but that is just me). It is meaningless. Some servers like the CS:S jailbreak server (RIP) gave you rep for doing things in game.

I dropboxed forum rep, they didn't want to make it tho :(

yeah dragon, I tend to give them out to new people I see, either new members or returning regular pubs, or if someone blocks a cap, or eats a nade to save teammates. I too hardly ever down someone, although I have before, cant really remember why....probably that jerk Superglue hee hee

Its all just for grins. :)
