No, I think epsilon and anyone else involved should get the same punishment. The "good" they've done for the community is totally washed away with the fact that they stole thousands of dollars from their fans and vehemently lied about it/kept quiet for months.

Yes, I know, haha. What does their career length have to do with this? You can't downplay what they've done simply because they've been apart of the community for so long... that means nothing lol. They did something that Valve had to punish severely, and has to in the future. They clearly knew they were in the wrong and could get in serious trouble, and they did it anyways. You can be prosecuted in some countries for what they did lol

Im not sure they can get prosecuted for what they did. CSGO lounge is an external skin betting site. Skins aren't money. Im saying that having such a long career just to be ended over a stupid decision during a regular season cevo match? If valve had any regulation over betting non of this would have happened...

I meant match fixing in general. Obviously it's at a much higher level, but I've heard of several instances somewhat recently where an organization has or has wanted to go after someone for this, and has the legal means to do it. I agree that Valve needs to have oversight and needs to get involved with the betting scene, but what they've done is fair in my mind. They knew exactly what they were doing and expected a small punishment precisely because of what has been stated here. Valve didn't let them off easily.

Also stop saying skins aren't money. It's money. If you're into the trading/betting scene you would realize how easy it is to profit and turn skins into a bank transfer. There is no way these people would be match fixing if their profits were limited to Steam funds lol.

I'm saying as a legal stand point I don't think you could say that. Considering you don't have to spend any money in the game to get skins. Then again I'm not a lawyer, but the esports lawyer made a post on reddit, I'll see if I can find it.
