The total comes to 1412.80 euros (1581 U.S Dollars) (includes tax). The OS I am getting from Windows 10 preview, depending on how that goes I might get it or not. I got a friends brother who works for microsoft so... ;D

Mostly I am thinking about the motherboard. I was going to get the Asus Z97-PRO Gamer with Kingston 8GB(2x4GB) HyperX Savage bundled in, but that offer ended.
I personaly think I did well for a 1400 ish euro budget.

Let the criticism commence!
 
get 16 GB sticks rest looks ok I would have gotten perhaps a AMD set up with that budget you would have gotten little more bang for the buck but that's personal preference lol but if you want intel u got a good set up :thumbup:
 
Agree with alex get atleast 16gb of ram, 2x8gb then you have space later on to go to 32 xD
 
I think you shouldn't go with a WD Green. I'd recommend atleast a blue. If not a black.

You chose the slowest HDD of the bunch.

Roger that. Thinking of changing it to a Seagate Barracuda 1 TB 64 MB 7200 RPM

First look, I'd say move change the WD Green to a WD Black. Second, get a Siberia V2 instead of the V3.

I have read reviews but they are very divided on which headset is actually better.
So I guess you are saying the v2 is better?
 
Specifically look for the default usb V2, it comes with 7.1 surround sound standard.

The V3 does not, and you have to buy the top line model.

There are several models for the V2, just make sure you are getting the USB version.

Something like this;

it's only drawback is a shortish cable length. If you want longer, look for a 2013 or 2012 USB V2.
 
I'm not saying you have a bad setup by any means, but personally I would go AMD and drop the HDD and get a bigger SSD. That being said I purchase all my gear based on benchmark tests. CPUZ has benchmarks for almost every piece of hardware now. I simply sort by highest score then scroll down to the most I am willing to pay for that part. In short, set aside as much money as you are willing to spend on a build and get the biggest bang for you buck.

Issue I have with that statement is the choice of the part should be taken as a whole, not an individual price point. Seen one person trying to brag building a gaming rig because they spent $200-300 on a case, and threw in an i3 CPU and an older GPU model (with other parts to finish it off).

As for dropping the HDD and going with a larger SSD; what advantage is there to be gained by increasing the size of the SSD from 120 to around 250GB? Speeds will be comparable (though could be slightly faster if he goes with a different model), but he would be forfeiting about 850 GB of storage. I don't see what benefits there are to this idea.

Finally, go with AMD vs the Intel chip? I honestly don't know what the price points would be in pounds, but the i5-4690K is sitting in a sweet spot of the best bang for the buck performance. Tomshardware.com has even picked it for the best CPU for the low $200 price range. AMD doesn't even get an honorable mention, instead that's given to a $260 Intel Xeon CPU.

Finland has some screwed up pricing when it comes to computer components. Some things that are cheaper in the USA/UK are more expensive over here or you can't even buy them. For example the 4690K is cheaper than the 4670/4670K. You can't even buy the GTX 700 series gpus over here anymore.
