Everyone in my house owns a nice tv, around 40 inches planted on their wall. I have a 40 some odd inch SUV in my room and I was gifted an xbone. Not realizing what the issue was at the time I open the box and seen a nice hdmi cord, i looked up at my tv and instantly was 360noscoped and called a loser by a 10 year old.

Can't even play at all till I get a new tv which will be in a month [bills].
GG.

Does your desktop computer monitor support HDMI? I don't actually own a TV, I use my desktop and I have an adapter for audio to computer speakers (came with my headset, works great for this).

Tech talk, not issue.

But no, sadly my monitor does not. It's and old lcd, or something.
Friday i'm buying a new monitor/tv whatever you want to call it.
My xbox and Pc will be set up to it, and I'll have cable also.

So how is this a tech issue?

This is the tech talk subforum, and the thread itself wasn't labelled a tech issue, so I assume it's simply a discussion

Good luck dude. If you have any old computer monitors you would be able to hook your XB1 up to it - if you don't have the proper cables, you can get them on Monoprice for a couple bucks

You could get an HTMI to VGA converter online, for around 20$
