What is the must have gaming Keyboard? Post your thoughts.

Hello, my personal thoughts of this would be either a Razer mechanical keyboard with brown, green, or orange cherry switches, or a logitech G110 keyboard.
If you want a mechanical keyboard that is very quiet yet still feel a good "bump", but you want to use it for a good amount of typing not just gaming, then i would recommend the MX Brown switch. If you are a very serious gamer and you can adjust for typing with no problem, then i would prefer the MX Brown or Orange switch made by Razer.

Brown cherry is a low noise switch while giving you a good feeling of the "bump" of pressing a key.

The G110 logitech keyboard which i own, is very scriptable for special effects or key commands, and the key press is great for non mechanical (very light on the fingers) which is great for both long term typing or gaming.

I am not up to date for any newer models that may be available, but this keyboard is good on cost too.

Both keyboards have backlighting, and i never use a light in my room rarely while using the computer, even for programming or designing.

Also this would be a great addition to my list, since this keyboard has new switches invented specifically for gaming.

corsair k70
solid build and mechanical you can go RGB if you want.

Corsair K70

Razer Blackwidow

Logitech G110

Top 3 IMO, however personally I use a Corsair K65 because I like having my mouse and keyboard closer together

Razer Blackwidow with either the Razer Greens or the Orange switches. Creens are 'clicky' and oranges are 'stealth'.

My problem with most of the corsair RGB keyboards is their macro ability. From my understanding, the RGB versions replicate the output of keypresses (software macro) whereas the non RGB version replicate the actual keystroke as if it were actually being pressed (hardware macro). For the most part, this is a negligible difference but some games don't respond well to the software type macro.

Hey Legend, I've definitely got a lot of experience on this one...... I purchased and returned about 5 different keyboards from Best Buy before I finally found the absolute best keyboard as far as touch, feel, and feedback when pressing keys. I bought the Corsair Vengeance K70. The keyboard also has backlit LED lights. Really satisfied with it.

P.S. Part of the reason I chose the Corsair is because it has the "Click" feel, but isn't quite as loud as the Razor keyboards. I was debating between the two, but the bottom line was that when i'm on the phone with a client, the clicking should be in the background, not the foreground of the conversation.

Was the first mechanical keyboard I found that had backlighting and utlized cherry mx black switches. my favorite. the MK PRO has some other additions to it and lets you choose between the other 3 common key switches, but I wanted the black switches so I didn't have to hear clicks.

Logitech G710
Best keyboard I've ever owned.

got it for 80 bucks. Never had a mechanical keybaord before this, does the job well.

Anything with Cherry MX Blues is my jam. They're really nice to type on.

Recently switched to a membrane keyboard from a mechanical, and loving it. Probably in the minority there though.
