Looking for new laptop. Gtx870m or gtx960m

I need help, looking to buy a new laptop with a budget of about $1,000. There a Dell i7559 with an i7 6700hq and a gtx960m with 4gd gddr5 that was on Linustechtips that im considering and an MSi gs70 stealth pro 210 with an i7 4710hq and a gtx870m 6gb gddr5.

Yes mobile gpus are bad but i need mobile gaming in my life. My dell7720 with an i7 3630qm and gt650 with 2gb of gddr5 is not only showing it age but the mobo died.

Actually a really good deal, paid nearly that much a few years ago for specs nowhere close to that. Crazy how laptop hardware and prices are changing

Give Sager a good look. Maybe adjust your budget a little more. But if I would buy a laptop for gaming I would buy a Sager.

Yea thats the one im looking at but with the i7. I'm worried about the performance. Looks like 870 does a bit better but its older.

Im gonna order the Dell and return it worst case scenario.

Seger would be awesome but that's one month's worth of rent & utilities for me.

Yep I have an Asus it's slightly more then the Dell Alex posted and not ass good either. SSD ftw! Still won't compare to a desktop if you can find a way to manage it.

This was a slickdeal; was just commenting on it. Add a 500GB SSD and you got a great, powerful laptop. I'm running the i5 version of this laptop. Added another 8GB DDR3 RAM and the 512 Samsung SSD. Runs great. 10 hrs of battery life for web browsing and Word/Excel programs. About 7 hours with youtube. 3-4 hours of Fallout 4 gaming.
