Can't message/text/chat in Teamspeak? Read this

In order to circumvent time until the patch can be applied on the backend of the Teamspeak 3 servers to fix the crashing bug, leadership has temporarily removed the ability to send messages within the channels and to other users. This should be reinstated tonight sometime.

The bug allows users to send illegal characters within the typing/messaging system within TS3 to crash channels and boot users from the TS3 servers, not too indifferent from the Netgear router/illegal character IRC patch approx 7-8 years ago. There was an attack of some sorts a few days ago and leadership is taking measures to ensure the stability of TS3 for us to enjoy.

I'm posting this, as others were not informed, and hopefully someone will read this and understand it's not client or user permission related. This thread can also be used to announce that all systems are now running normal and to report any lingering issues to the proper channels or cases within the Dropbox forum.

Teamspeak has also released a hotfix'd version of their 3.0.19 client, 3.0.19.1 which includes a fix for the unicode character crash. This version can be downloaded here.

Regarding this - I got a update-prompt for the new version when I opened TeamSpeak, but if said prompt doesn't come up for others, then they can use the link you posted.

Also, looks like leadership have been working on integrating MAUL further into TS - noticed they've added the individual ranks/staff positions on the group list. Should be interesting when all is complete!
