For those of you who have not been paying much attention to the Days of War KickStarter there has been an update today regarding the development of the game.

The major news in this is as follows:

We are delaying our Steam Early Access release by 3.5 months, from end of August to mid-December.

Their reasoning behind this is that they want to polish the game up more and add more content before putting it up for early access on steam. In regards to people that have backed for the early access level this is what Driven Arts has to say:

If you are one of the roughly 800 folks who backed at the Early Access level, you will still be receiving your Steam key on August 31st and are invited to participate in our ongoing closed testing.

There is much more talk about the progress that they are making on numerous things. If you would like the check it out it can be found on their KickStarter page.

I'm not breaking any NDA as I never had to sign one and this is all being released to the public : )

Sadly I did not back it early since I had figured the release was coming, wish I had. But it is a good move, if they are not happy with everything yet then waiting is always good.

Yeah, it really does. Kinda annoyed that i didn't find out earlier or i would have funded it ...
I think that if the map editor mode and the game in general is as good and as easy as it looks, this game could be the next best thing!

Should be through email. If you backed early access your key should be sent out on the 31st of this month.

EDIT:

Just noticed that this was posted on the Days of War Kickstarter a few days ago:

Attention: We are distributing the remaining keys a little earlier than noted in the last update. If you backed at the early access level you will receive your Steam Key by 12:00 PM EDT on Tuesday, August 30th. If you haven't received your key by this time send us a message here on Kickstarter or if you backed by PayPal, email [email protected].

Also the NDA is still in effect:

As a reminder if you would like to join the closed beta tests you will need to sign the NDA included with the game. We have not yet announced when the NDA will be lifted.
