What's the best way to recruit the community in overwatch to join eGO?


My suggestion is we start hosting events so we can invite pubbers there and then recruit.

I'll probably ask a few friends if they want to join a comp group

though no idea what they'll add as their main game on the registration thing

I've had people add me after a match when I'm playing with other eGO people. I think I've actually gotten a couple onto TS to chat, but they didn't feel like joining. I'm sure plenty other of us players have had similar situations, or pubs asking to join their groups, so I think something along those lines would be great if we're looking into recruitment factor. I've also noticed a lot of TF2/CS 'converts' that mention they still play those games, so that would be a plus in this area as well.

To expand on that, yes, we could mention custom events and such. We could even go so far as to have dedicated groups set for grabbing people together for some QP or comp teams (kind of like server filling groups?). Now...the only problem with this would be the limited size of the events we can have. For event nights it might be best to have multiple hosts with 2-3 different game types when we try to do that. (not that we have a whole lot, but for future sake).

A good recruitment idea is to post on http://www.overwatch-teamup.com/ I have seen several "clans"(as they call them self's) post on here recruiting new members I fell this is a good place to pull in users since so many people post on here.

Another is to host public "tournaments" for players or teams to come and compete with each other.

Event nights just like death has posted above this can bring our internal player rate up. Now with the game only allowing 12 players at a time we can host multiple games for the same event letting everyone be able to play and have fun.


Recruiting

Recruit players from QP they maybe looking for a group to play with rather then playing solo. Same for Comp If they are solo ask if that want to join.
