When it's in a trade window like this, I believe you do the confirmation after you hit Accept Trade meaning he could still deny it while confirming and review the contents.

I read it, but it didn't seem relevant. the point stands. Any trades you do, no matter how you conduct them, are first accepted then confirmed via steam mobile app.
