Hey guys and Meg.
It's been a while since I've dropped by Teamspeak and even longer since I've been able to play with the DoD crew, and well... I've missed you all (even HamHam). Unfortunately, the mean cycle of working until I die has me in its grasp and while it might slow in the very near future I'm still pretty damn busy. I'm going to do my best to drop by when I can, try to catch some of the old crew, and maybe meet some new internet faces too. That kinda brings me to favor one?
Can you guys update me on what's been going on in eGO, the DoD division, and anything else that might be vaguely related over the last nine months or so, pretty please?
Now on to the bigger favor...
My schedule is looking pretty full and I need one to three people to help run this year's "2016 DoD:S Division X-Mas Giveaway" and the donation drive preceding the giveaway.
I won't lie to you, it's a demanding job that requires daily attention and constant communication with recipients and donors all while updating and maintain a list of game redemption codes. A donation thread will be posted at the start of December and the actual giveaway thread will be posted a few weeks later. Once these threads are posted they need to be monitored and maintained while keeping track of all donations and requests. If you have any questions, feel free to post them here or PM me.
That said, I think it's been one of the most rewarding experiences I?ve had in eGO. A big part of that comes from seeing how many generous people we have in this clan and the DoD division in particular. The only reason we?ve had this giveaway for the last three years is because of the generosity of your fellow members.
To give you an idea of what's involved, here are links to the X-Mas donation and giveaway threads from the past three years and a list of semi-required skills.
If you're interested in helping with this year?s X-Mas Donation and Giveaway threads, please send me a PM and we can go from there. While one person might fit the mold, It might be nice to get more than one person to do this so the workload is even lighter.
Again, if you have any questions about volunteering to help, the specifics, or about donating games, please feel free to post here or PM me.
Thanks in advance for the update and for anyone interested in helping out in this year's X-Mas giveaway. I hope to chat and maybe game with you all soon.
Love, Stormy
P.S. If you have the chance, pick up a game or two in the next few weeks to donate in December.
