That is your new enemy in BF1 thats right ping we opnly thought it was horrid in BF4 in BF1 a mear change in ping from 40 to 80 and your using an entire magazine to kill someone.

I have been playing quick matches as they seem to get into games that my ping hits around 40-60 and it is rare that I have an issue killing someone.

We get our servers, I get on, my ping is never under 80 and it takes an entire magazine to get a kill.

I am going to keep testing my theory until I am happy with the results be it good or bad

Have you tried opening the command prompt in under your start menu and type in ipconfig to get your default gateway ip then you type ping IP -t to run a continuous ping of that gateway. it works for some then just minimize it to your desktop and try the game. if it dont work then close the command window

That is all local, typically the next hop on a consumer connection. In thinking he is talking about the increased average latency between him and the server.

EDIT: Speaking of ping, anyone have the IP's of the servers? My ping will be zero unless I allow ICMP traffic from these IP's on the server through the firewall.

It could just be your location man. A lot of the servers are in the US, and if you're from another country you will have a bad day lol. In our servers I get about 80 and I love in Virginia currently.

On our servers it depends on what time of the day I play during peak hours it goes from 80-120, and I will empty a weapon to get a kill, early morning it stays around 80-100 and samething takes emptying a weapon to get a kill.
Now if I use quickmatch it becomes a crap shoot I have servers with my ping as low as 40 and as high as 150+( ended up on a German server) the high ping games I just leave because they end up no fun at all,but, what really gets me is there is no visable lag, it is just hard as hell to make kills.
Let me tell you it is not fun spending most of my time trying to find a server worth playing, with a few eGO's on our servers I will play there but alone I quickmatch it.

I usually get around 20-40 ping, so normally I'm fine. Guess it's just different for different people.
