Battlefield 1 Awful Performance

So Im running an I5-4690k, GTX 970 and 12 GB of ram. Even with this I barely get 50 fps on low. Can anyone help me not have this happen?

Are all your drivers up to date? Are you running a lot of programs in the background, or anything that might be disruptive to gameplay?

Make Sure Your Game Isn't On Ultra Update Your Windows and Drivers Make Sure That your tower is dust free and make sure that you're not over heating and make sure you dont have 10000 things open in ur task bar / background

I have the AMD alternative of your PC with a GTX 970 and only hit 35fps on LOW settings. I believe it's the memory leak on the GTX 970s.

Low settings and turn down the resolution scale from 100% to 90, 80, 70 etc until it's tolerable no more. Be warned the lower this is, the more you will feel like you're playing minecraft.

I'm running i7-4790k with GTX 970 on ultra with 100% resolution scale and get around 80 fps no problem. With your specs, you should be hitting that as well. Try following iSimon's advice.

Lastest drivers with nothing but team speak open. I have tried pretty much everything from caping fps, reinstalling game and drivers.

Are you running a 1080*1920 resolution?

I have same as you with GTX970 running 70-80 on High @ 1080p no problems.

Honestly I would go to Origin support and get a live chat going with one of the reps. They will run you through a long list of possible issues that may be causing this.

One thing that people sometimes tend to neglect is the need on double display computer to have both screen on the same display frequency.. on a few games i was missing on a lot of FPS not having that figured.. seems like graphic card would have some issue displaying on different display rate.. one if you can't or just won't set on on same rate the quick way to fix this is too use the Windows Key + P to deactivate the second screen in a matter of seconds.. wish you good luck on your search for FPS Optimisation and let us know if you found your fix..
