What's happening

For those of you that have read Legend's recent thread, you know that I am officially the new Server Boss for our jail server.

As stated in that thread I "hope to step in and bring some more communication and bridge the gap between Leadership and our player base". This is easier said than done, but I have some plans to make sure I represent all of you to the best of my ability. So what does this mean for all of you?


Fireside Chats

You're probably thinking "Nick!, what is a fireside chat?" I'm glad you asked. Fireside chats are one of the first ways I plan on getting constructive feedback from all of you. These will be held on a weekly basis, most likely Saturday or Sunday nights. The chats themselves will consist of the following:

• Member feedback I received during that week
• Things I notice we can improve on
• A weekly "challenge" or "goal"
• Finally a Q&A

I will be taking notes during these meetings and they will be an extremely important tool for me in the purpose of communicating with leadership.


Monthly Roundups

At the end of each month we have a special kind of meeting. These will be called "Monthly roundups" and will consist of the following:

• Summary of the weekly meetings of that month
• Current server rank and trends discussion
• Personal shout-outs to people I notice stepping up and keeping jail fun
• Receiving feedback from all of you about how I'm doing as server boss
• Finally a Q&A

These meetings will be followed up by a forum post summarizing the meeting for people that weren't able to attend. As with firesides, I will be taking notes to use in my discussions and interactions with leadership.


Open door policy

During my time as server boss I intend to keep what I will call an "open door policy". To make it quick and simple, this just means I will always be available to talk to on Steam, through forum PMs, and even on TeamSpeak. You can approach me at any time and I will do my best to talk with you about anything relating to jail or my position. I'll be taking notes of all my interactions. I encourage all of you to talk to me as your feedback is the main talking point of the fireside meetings. Please, help me to help all of you.

I know that together we can all make jail successful and fun for everyone.

Might not be a bad idea to have it the day before or the weekend before the clan wide. That way all info can be brought to leadership before the meetings.

Will most likely be a day or two before the Clan-Wide in order to have all of the information ready if it's needed at the clan wide.

Thanks, RDK. Honestly a really good suggestion and something I hadn't thought about. I'll definitely talk about at the "meetings" with the members. I'll make sure to ask people how they feel about current maps and any constructive criticism, positive or negative, that they may have. I'll make sure to get that info out to map makers. Would hopefully allow us to change what people don't like about a map which could turn what people see as a "bad" map into one that gets played more often, allows people to have more fun, or just leaves a good first impression on pubs playing for the first time.

Will try and be there....I dont play Jail much so I wont have much if anything to say XD.
