Personally I am looking towards the next battlefield because BF1 was a let down for me. Weapon range sucks (unless you have the sniper or a bipod). So so so many snipers.... One person can't really take out armor. Airburst galore. The ticket bleed is no longer used. I digress...

Personally I would love a 2142 update. The titan mode was just amazing. Haven't had a mode quite like that one. They tried to duplicate it in naval strike dlc for bf4, but it wasn't even close to the same.

Next would be a bad company update.

2143 or Bad Company 3

Battlefield 1 had some great concepts in it but it didn't grab me the way Bad Company 2 did, which has the most hours I've put into any Battlefield game since 1942 and Battlefield 2. It was, IMHO, one of the last Battlefield games that truly grasped what made the franchise so fun

I think 2143 has some great potential. The shooter market is flooded with 'gritty, realistic military shooters' but you don't see many sci-fi games in the genre, let alone ones that do well. 2142 was great because it refreshed the genre by doing something different from CoD and even other Battlefield games at the time because it was a departure from that super-realistic military shooter angle that you saw pretty much everywhere in the market and have seen for YEARS now

Although at the same time I'm not sure we'll see 2143 anytime soon, since Battlefront II is coming out in a couple months and I feel like that might be the closest thing we get to a sci-fi Battlefield other than replaying 2142 on Origin, lol

Bad Company 3 would also be exciting. I love the Battlefield games, but IMHO I think Battlefield 3, 4, and 1 all had some great concepts that would only be more amazing if you combined them with an updated version of Bad Company 2's gameplay. The ability to blow up pretty much anything was a HUGE game changer in the field (no pun intended) and made every match feel unique since you had a lot of ways to approach how to assault, defend or hold the objective

It would either be a new WWII based Battlefield or Bad company 3. We don't need a futuristic Battlefield (new 2142) since EA already has Titanfall 2 and Battlefront 2 coming soon.

Battlefield 1942 should absolutely be the next battlefield game if they take everything great from their other games and build it in beautifully. Me I'm just imagining the havoc that would be wrought on Midway Island by a collective total of 4 Destroyers and 2 Battleships, a B-17, and 4-6 dive bombers re-imagined with bad company 2's level of destructive environment. Plus I really miss battlefield's naval combat. It was nicely done and arguably my favorite aspect of the game. Really forced people to keep that group together to be most effective. Nothing was more fun than piloting that sub and coming across a lonely battleship or better still a lonely aircraft carrier. And who can forget the awesome tank battles that ensued on Tobruk? Where at any one time there could be as many as 12 tanks rolling across the desert!

Battlefield now just seems so dumb downed to me. Don't get me wrong there's some fun game modes in battlefield. In BC2 I was a huge fan of rush cause it offered me that imbalance. Attackers rarely started with any sort of military hardware and the defenders have an early advantage in that regard. But if the attackers can push enough the advantage swings and I loved that. Didn't really play BF3 or BF4 but I can tell you BF1 might as well be Battle Mirror, because there won't be anything unique about each side. Except maybe small, and yes important, details.

1942 was a nitty gritty unbalanced game. Each side didn't have the same equipment. They weren't mirrors of each other, and it was on the player to find solutions to those problems. Just looking at Omaha with the Germans having a Tiger and a Pz IV and the allies getting only a Sherman as armor support, but having a Fletcher for naval bombardment. Purely in armor the Germans have a massive advantage with that Tiger alone but add to it a Pz IV hands down the Germans will win with smart tankers. Allies can eventually bump it up to 2 M4s but there's still that Tiger, and I'll take a Tiger over 2 M4s any day of the week. Sure 1942 didn't make the Tiger as monstrous as it was against an M4 but it'll still cut through those 2 Shermans like a knife through butter. I just miss the imbalance of battlefield that made it challenging and fun and the uniqueness of each faction.

Sorry for my disjointed flow but I wrote certain sections first then went back and wrote more or changed things. I'd edit it for readability but...I don't want to.

Titanfall is nothing compared to BF. It's a COD-like game.

Battlefront is a bit closer, but still isn't BF.

2143 IMO would offer quite a bit.

I agree honestly. Titanfall 2 plays a lot differently from Battlefield, even 2142. It's a fun game but the pace and playstyles befitting Titanfall 2 tend to differ a bit from what you'd look for in a Battlefieled game

I would love to see 2143, though I'm worried that Battlefront II will either do SO well that EA/Dice might not even consider 2143 or it might do poorly and kill any chance of 2143. Of course there's the flipside, good or bad, either way it could push them to make 2143 just to bank of Battlefront II's potential success or do better where it may go wrong

I agree with most of the comments above, BF1 was a let down.... especially from a server admin perspective. Titans would be amazing, but who knows what they have in store for us. I remember reading somewhere the next BF won't be out until late 2018 so we definitely have a ways to go.

I voted Other. Everyone should go back to, and stick with, BF4. :P

BFBC3 only if they keep the same physics engine from BFBC2. Which is unlikely.
If not, then it will just be another BF addition.

The physics engine from BFBC2 rewards those players who practice and put the work in to get better with each type of weapon and vehicle.
The novice must work at the game play to get better. It is not handed to him just by purchasing the game and logging into a server. All other BF games lack this concept or have nerfed it to let new players jump into a game and be half way decent. BF1 did this and paid the price by becoming a fast forgettable title in the BF series.

Artimus has hit the nail with this one.

Within the first year of being with eGO i gained over 1,000 with BF4 just by playing with the guys here at eGO. I stopped playing BF1 and lost interest very very quickly.

I had to even the results on BF 2143. Thanks everyone for participating and commenting in this poll. I think another thing about BF1 is that it sort of killed the participation in this division. I know myself I am far less active just because the foul taste in my mouth of BF1 and just dont want to get in here to complain.

In my opinion, Battlefield 4 should stay the same. I would just like to see new constant patches and implementations of new weapons added to the game as the world moves forward with new technologies.

I Voted battlefield 5. Basically the same as Cigarjohn describes.

But any one that reunites the BF community again and gets us playing the same game.

Judging by the results of this poll, we are gonna get stuck with Hardline 2.

I just want EA and Dice to focus more on there community management, but a new WW2 and or Vietnam based Battlefield would be nice. 4Head
