Public Opinion on Possible Vehicle Switch Fix

Hello everyone!

So Don brought to my attention the issue with the vehicle switching in your garage. This occurs when refreshing customization of vehicles on server restart.

So the fix would be to remove that refreshing. However, this would mean that all your customization would not be saved upon restart. But, if we do this, we will make the LS Customs free so that you don't have to waste money re-customizing your car every time. It would also allow us to bring in the Benny's script so you would have much more customization options. Based on what I understand, you won't have to re-customize in between restarts. So if you get off and back on an hour later, it should still be saved.

We wanted to know if you, our players, would be fine with that little inconvenience. It would prevent having to reimburse money and all that jazz moving forward.

If any more updates are mentioned, I will post them in this thread.

The benny's script sounds cool an all but i rather keep wat we have now, Yes all upgrades are free but now you have to take time out of the day just to go upgrade ur car then if you time out for some reason you may lose ur upgrade and then you have to go do it again. Then at tyms your going to find a bunch of ppl at the garage trying to upgrade their cars and to me thats going to create chaos mayb, so id say just keep the current system that we have, its not like i have a vehicle switching in my garage everyday its only once in a blue moon and ive been only this server for abt a month and only have it happen once and im more happy with that as long as yall keep the server reimbursement then all is fair game and way less headache then having to do a car everytym.

I say lets do this as it will stop people needing to sell another persons car because it switched that persons car with his and needing to get reimbursed for the money needed to replace that car

I think it's a good idea. We will need more customs shops in the city since they do get full even now when customizing cars.

Leadership members want to play and not focus on having to check server reimbursements because cars getting switched. Leadership would rather play with you guys and not focus on having to fix stuff.

Besides, it doesn't take that long to customize your car. More shops would be added for connivence sake, we could put them near all the garages.

An like I said at least in my eyes I would rather deal with losing a car every month rather than having to do up a car everyday, I can see if I was to only drive one car, but I drive at least 5 a day and thats to me thats more headache than losing a car a month and i don't know how many claims admins have to do a day but if its overwhelming then I can understand and if an admin would rather play before they have to deal with my problem i can understand as long as my request has been acknowledged. Just my 2 cents, any1 has change for a nickel?

We also all volunteer our time do to this so yes while I agree with you that reimbursements and different issues like that will never stop, we are looking for a way to make it more enjoyable for us but more importantly we are looking for a way to make it more enjoyable for the majority of the players because it is frustrating to lose your stuff and have to wait for us.

The sad part is that ppl dont understand that most of this stuff is still in alpha or beta and that this is a mod things are going to happen and your going to need to have patience. If this was a rockstar thing it would be days before we wud get a response but thats the bad thing about being an admin, ppl know wen ur on so they want shit done now blah blah cuz yall r robots.
