Oh no. An imaginary number is being reset so rep can work the way it's supposed to. How tragic.
Also, you're right. A number that means nothing at all is comparable to a server being closed. Good one.

Wait if that number is imaginary then server ranking is imaginary yet we lost one of the most loved servers due to an imaginary number WHAT KIND OF IMAGINARY NUMBER SEPTION IS THIS.

ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh more like a number some people have accumulated over a year or more being reset to sync things up when I don't think most players even cared that different games had different rep databases.
IMO it just hurts the people who did like enjoy gaining rep and the people who don't care will continue not to.
I mean a thread where we post the proof of our rep to get it imported to the new system if we care enough would work too, buuut I guess no one would want to do that.

I feel you, but I've been here for 6 years and played in TF2, CSS, CSGO, and DODS. I'd love if my rep wasn't messed up. I had to rebuild it in GO because all my rep from Source didn't transfer over properly. I'm more for organization than a number that does nothing except possibly boost self esteem (or lowers it if you have low rep like me)
