Resolved [BUG REPORT] Phone number 0

Several new members of both eGO and GTA have been complaining about the fact that their phone number is showing as 0.
Since thats the case, any and all text messages are also being received by all the same individuals with the phone number of 0.
When trying to call the number 0 the "latest member" phone rings and not the others.

Listed known individuals with the phone number 0:

This is probably because of a change Don made. I notified him of this. It was implemented to prevent those stupid random crashes but doesn't seem to be working as intended.

Not sure, though one of my friends who plays on the servers also has a phone number of 0.

According to Don, the dev of this script has released an update. I'll have to check with him.

Words cannot describe how much this needs to be fixed.

Today I was trying to do my duty as a paramedic, when some new players that had the phone number "#0" started to spam call EMS. The problem is, there's no way to identify who they are and follow admin procedure. I think this needs to be treated as an "admin down" situation, because there's no way to stop people from spamming EMS or police if they can't be identified, the most you can do is politely ask them to stop, and in only 25% cases that works.

That would be great to get a status update. I love the phone system it just kind of sucks that we can't use it for the new members who joined and don't have one.

This is a well known bug and has many threads for it already.

Yeah I’ve been on the server for 2 months with no phone number. I don’t understand why the issue hasn’t been identified by now and or a new phone system implemented. Are you just going to wait until the server wipe??

i'm pretty sure that we've spoken about this on a tech level and the proper fix is to implement an update but requires a server wipe.

The report has already been made, it's going to be fixed when the server resets. No need to make another post.
