Thinking about getting the Google Pixel 3 XL for $700 from Best Buy black friday, any other suggestions? Probably going to stick with android as well.

I bought myself the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and I'm very happy with it. Not only is it fast but it's processor and battery is one of the best you'll find. After a day of costant use it still has 35% battery left. As a bonus it comes with a super charger which charges the phone fully within an hour. 4 cameras in total for maximum quality photos and a curved screen for easier grasp. It holds the title as world's best phone and probably will be for the next 4/5 months. I'd definetely check it out. It's not sold in America sadly but can be ordered.

That was my first choice but from my understanding they only currently make them GSM compatible and not CDMA ):

I'm coming up to the end of my two year contract (I think). I've always been an Android person. I think the Pixels are phenomenal for what they can do Android wise. I personally don't like too big phones so I wouldn't go XL but the up is it has better cameras to it, probably some of the best (yes, better than iPhone). But that's all depending on your personal likes. Another thing is the lack of a headphone jack on the Pixels :( If it weren't for that, I'd definitely get the 2 or 3 for my next phone.

I'm most likely going to the S9 for my next phone. I have the S8 currently and love it. Only thing is I wish it was more Android than it is.

It comes with type c headphones and an adapter, the only issue would be listening to music with headphones and charging the phone. My current phone that I've had for 2 years doesn't have an aux, it's only been an issue on very long trips.. but then I just switch to my laptop lol

Oh snap. I didn't realize it did or that those were a thing. I really wouldn't be listening to music much while charging so I would be good. You've leaned me more towards the Pixels now lol

Not a recommendation here per se, but just wanted to chime in that for me and most folks I know with modern phones, charging and listening to music hasn't been much of an issue. Bluetooth headphones are cheap enough and good enough these days that having only one port is rarely an issue.

I have the LG G7, no complaints, and because it's an LG phone, you can pick it for dirt cheap. The current black friday deal for it is $400, and it's only 2 months older than the Pixel 3

Yeah it's a pretty good deal, but from what I understand it is plagued by bad battery life just as other LG phones are compared to other flagship phones.

I regret going with a iPhone because I enjoy listening to music while my phone is charging. And while it is possible, I don't wanna spend extra money for the AirPods or anything else.

Simple solution: Get an android?? I got a Samsung A8, 2018 phone and it only cost 300 euro. Only complaint is that it doesn't have bixby. I use my phone for youtube, the forums or snapchat. If you want a really good phone I recommend buying a samsung S8, it has wireless charging and multiple options for customization. This is only from my experience and from seing other people having an android phone.

im gonna buy my huwaei 20 again XD i love it so much until i broke the last one i had XD

for years since samsunge s2 came out i was samsung dedicated, working away from home and dropped my s7 edge in the harbour ,went to get a new one and walked away with a vodaphone v8 has great camera ect theres not much difference between the phones to the s8 ,except the price which was $289 nz $s compared to $900 its worth a look

You have no idea how freeing it feels to listen untethered to your phone. But hey, the adapter is only $30 at Amazon these days. That's pretty cheap. (Link: https://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Lightning-Rockstar-Adapter-Charging/dp/B01LXFKSNA)

This might be the first time in all of the Internet that somebody has mentioned not having Bixby as a complaint. If I had a dollar for every time I pressed that damn button by accident I could afford to buy an iPhone. :)
