I can't believe I joined Edgegamers 8ish years ago. Ya'll I'm back, I finished grad school so I can start having fun again.

Here's what I've been up to
- worked at Intel (software engineer)
- worked at Hewlett Packard (software engineer)
- started my own company
- moved to New Zealand
- got pneumonia for 5 months
- aggressively applied to a PhD program (waiting to be admitted)

I like maths and computers and genetics. That's why I'm going to study bioinformatics. In the mean time, looking for some games to get into.

Oh my god you would obsessively screenshot everything.

My laptop cost $1200 at the start of 2013. I haven't upgraded it and it's slowly dying. No longer holds a charge. Got me through 2 masters degrees though.

If you're curious what I've been up to lately, I started dong research with my local university on encoding data into DNA. The intention is to replace magnetic tape storage. I'm using the write up from my first project to apply to the PhD program.

Thanks! I'm really excited about it. Actually we got offered a bunch of venture capital money to go make a start up. My advisor is looking into some ways to make this happen -- taking the first offer means leaving academia so we are trying to see if creating a startup can be incorporated into my degree program
