Yep, my initial "What the hell is this!" Turned into "oh... well then." Girlfriend and I watch it weekly now! Lol

Just got around to Genshiken. Looks like there are 2 more seasons with some scattered OVAs/specials here and there. Very similar feel to Lucky Star. As with Lucky Star, I probably wouldn't recommend this show to anyone new to anime and/or has not really seen at least some of the popular titles from the early 2000s and a bit earlier. It's simply because the parodies wouldn't make much sense and you wouldn't really know why certain scenes are funny. I'm sure the second (2007) and third season (2013) have updated the arsenal of shows to make fun of so I'm excited to see where the takes me in the coming weeks.
 
Can confirm that the second and third seasons of the show above do indeed have some good moments that people should be able to recognize from more recent series.

Anywho, I started up Kurenai and I'm about half way through. It's pretty cute so far but nothing too special as of yet. Nice, relaxing, and happy though.

Currently catching up on AoT season 3 (yes I know I'm extremely late) it's been interesting so far, not a big fan of where the story is going with Kenny (Just finished episode 39 which is S3E2 I believe). I'll give a update whenever I finish this season.

Edit end of season: Love where the season went, really enjoyed learning a whole lot about titans and all about certain peoples bloodlines. Overall I think Season 3 wasn't the most action packed but it was really entertaining for me one of my favorite anime seasons so far. (only watched a few animes)

I sat down and TRIED to watch more than 4 episodes of Gundam 00...nope, just doesn't work. Then I thought: "Everyone says I should watch Iron Blooded Orphans", so I tried 3 of that. Iron Blooded Orphans also gets a failing mark from me.

Could I have watched more of either series to see if it became better? Sure. But since I know at least one character in IBO survives..and 90% do in Gundam 00 when I wanted ALL OF THEM DEAD (in both series) I couldn't stand to lose that valuable amount of time in my life.

That said: For giggles, I went back and watched the first 20 or so episodes of Gundam Wing. I forgot how weird some of it is....Like, Relena introducing herself to Heero after he is already a mile away in a car.
 
I'm slightly disappointed in myself in how late I am to the party. Just watched Danshi Koukousei no Nichijiou. It did not disappoint. I sort of wish I watched it earlier as well. Oh well. I got around to it so that's all that matters.

Simon Simon In regards to the second series you posted, have you see the two movies and/or the music that those are actually based on? If you're interested in seeing the various stories told via music, definitely check out HoneyWorks. I think a good majority of their songs are on Youtube now.

The Cowboy Bebop movie has aged VERY well. Such a nice compliment to an awesome series.

Thoughts
The anime that really stood out to me this season other than the leftovers from last season were My Roommate is a Cat, Dororo, Love is War, Boogiepop, and the Rising of the Shield Hero.

Date a Live III had an interesting story this season, but it is still a Date A Live season so I had little expectations to begin with.
 
Spring 2019... what's on the chopping block for you guys?

I lost interest in a lot of the winter stuff... unfortunately. A few I dropped. I'm sure i'll come back to a few at some point. Been busy still.
 
I still have some shows to finish up/catch up to for spring, but thankfully I have a few days before my main shows of interest start this season. Here's what caught my eye initially:

  • Carole & Tuesday
  • Fairy Gone
  • Fruits Basket (I'm super hyped)
  • Gunjou no Magmel
  • Joshikausei (could be interesting assuming like 4min shorts)
  • Kimetsu no Yaiba
  • Senryuu Shoujo
  • Shoumetsu Toshi (reminds me of Dimension W for some reason)

Not much really caught my interest for this upcoming season. There are a few others like Hitoribocchi no ○○ Seikatsu and Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin I might try. I'll have to check out some more PVs for everything that's upcoming to decided.

Not really a big OPM person and never even started Bungou Stray Dogs so I guess those are out for me, but I'm sure they'll be pretty big hits. Maybe.... BSD should be fine, but J.C. Staff scares me for a show like OPM. Their two main shows as of recent have been Shokugeki and Saiki Kusuo. Not really in the same realm as OPM, so we'll see how it goes.
