(sorry if this is the wrong place to put this) So, I have a character named Jakey Jakey who has Severe Autism and a severe Speech Impediment. He has been put in jail a lot of times and at one point I decided that it was probably time for him. I got in a police chase that ended at the jewelry store and with him getting shot in the heart. I tried to RP my death out to the officers saying his heart stopped beating, and no pulse and such and they weren't responding whatsoever. On the rules, it says that you cannot perma kill until the scenario is over, which I didn't know. I personally think it's silly that the fact that even though the server is a serious RP server I cant actually kill my character off from getting killed in a police scenario, I have to wait until AFTER my time is served to die from a GSW from around 20 minutes before. Would love to get some input on this rule may be changed.

I really don?t think it?d be that detrimental to let someone kill off their character in a situation where it?d be realistic to do so. A pointless jail sentence doesn?t achieve anything in an RP scenario like this but making it feel forced and bland.

I?ve been playing on the server for 10+ months, and I have yet to kill one of my characters off. It really won?t be abused as much as many people think it will be. Plus, if someone kills off their character and continues doing the same stuff on a different one, then it can be admined. Simple.

As I explained, it is possible to kill your character with leadership approval. You just need to speak to leadership first and they would most likely approve it. This rule is obviously in effect BECAUSE this is a serious RP server and we don't want people killing their character to avoid roleplay consequences.

Yes i understaneld but you cant always be prepared to do so. I felt at the moment it would've been perfect for him to die but since i was in a scene i couldnt really ask an admin.

This in not correct. He does not need leadership approval. Anyone can kill there character off when ever they want besides when involved with police. Do to the fact they do that then everyone will do it and no jail time will be served. The correct way after dealing with police is do the jail time and after jail time is served then you kill the character off.

This is incorrect as far as the admin deal goes. Just because someone killed there character and makes a new one and does the same stuff there as long as rules are not being broken there is no need to admin someone

Second killing your character means you lose EVERYTHING you have. To kill that character you will have to delete the character. So all the money cars and all the other things you have you lose. It is not just as simple as before where you just change your name. Your create a whole new character and start fresh.

I see good points and bad points.

Good points if this rule didnt exist, then EMS could branch off and have a morge portion and just infinitely your character in the hospital. Only way to get out is to just delete your character completely on the character screen. More RP options.

Ofcourse the bad points is why we have the rule in place in the first place. We didnt have the different character option which factored into that and people avoiding jail time.

Seeing that we are evolving as a more serious aspect in roleplaying and admining is on par it wouldnt hurt to see how it would turn out. However, Leadership as a whole would have to discuss it. We will see.
