1v1 Servers are extremely fun. If you look at other communities they have a strong and clean 1v1 server, I think if eGO added a 1v1 server it would have potential to be better than them.

While this has potential, a lot of people play 1v1 servers for the in server ability to change their skns. As far as I know, eGO does not support that function to give yourself skins on your weapons unless you already own them. Plus, we have 1v1 events.

There needs to be consideration for the cost of a server too. Thanks to people like yourself who are dedicated supporters, we can support servers. However, I am not the accountant for eGO, so I have no idea if we can support this.

Otherwise, interesting suggestion.
 
Honestly, I would just leave it to sneakz and others.
 
i personally wouldn't play on it, but i'm sure other people would enjoy it. Guess its person to person :P we tried this before in pg, idk about ego. But it didnt do too good then

We tried one back near the end of 2015 and into 2016 slightly. There was some initial success, but after that it struggled to maintain activity and was quickly replaced. Although one of the key reasons for replacement, at the time, was due to the rising popularity of 1v1 as a whole within the CS:GO community. A lot of other communities and individuals were launching 1v1 servers. Ultimately, there were more 1v1 servers floating around than players searching for 1v1 servers leaving many to be empty for most of the day.

Actually, the biggest influx to our 1v1 server was when shroud (I think it was shroud) joined, by chance I believe, for an hour or so one day. That was pretty cool to see.

Of course I'm sure the landscape of the servers has changed a lot since then, but that's the short version of ego's experience with 1v1 servers. While new servers are indeed cool to see, sometimes the initial hype is difficult to maintain. Especially on a server that generally relies more than a small handful of players to really get moving. Yeah you can enjoy a 1v1 server with 4-6 people, but I would argue many players enjoy the experience more with 12+ players. And there will almost always be that server readily available. So a new server would need to reach a similar benchmark rather quickly otherwise it would just sit around I think.

You mentioned an eGO supported server has potential to be better. What ideas do you have? That may help with the persuasion of management to more heavily consider implementing the server.

I remember pG had one, it failed... Probably because we had no commands, like no !ws and !knife. Really the only time I saw people in it was after events when someone said everyone should get on.
 
1v1 servers are also a pain to admin. By the time you can finish typing out a warning, the round started and you died
 
It gets released > Its hyped for like 2 weeks > Turns into pG Murder with it only having players during Fastfills.

eGO is bigger as a community than pG and maybe new players will hop on but I don't know if this is it chief
 
_MEGA _MEGA Like you said 1v1 servers were growing very large at the time, but that could be the issue. It seemed as if every server was making 1v1 servers, players would have other options and that's why it could of flopped. Well with the amount of players that play eGO I think the server could easily stay longer then the server that was added in 2015/2016.

My ideas for what may make the server better is that there should be admins that mainly play 1v1 who are quick with warnings and are still able to play the game, and i'm sure those people wouldn't be hard to find. Also if they did add !ws just to 1v1 I think it would add more players to the eGO community (this is just for !ws not !knife/!gloves). I also think it could add some competition, maybe every month hold a tournament and the prize could be $25 through $50, or just for bragging rights. Something to make the community more fun is always well.
 
I'll bring this idea to my team, but Stone Sword Stone Sword can you gather how many US 1v1 servers there are right now and see how many are populated? That would be quite helpful
 
Mayhem Death Mayhem Death I see around 5/6 servers that have a player count of ten or higher, but these are mostly the servers that are under the same name just split servers like, sneaks. The most concurring thing that I see is that in the morning or at night these servers are somewhat dead.

In my opinion i dont see this being a stand alone server ;however, i would like to see a 1v1 gamemode be added to the minigames server as it could bring some shine to the minigame server with playing something else then (courses/awp only/ deathrun/minigames) as well it is struggling with player activity so it could help populste it
