Short description of the bug.
I get shit ping like every night

Description of the bug.
During most nights, I will join any EGO server and my ping is just trash. Its like playing on an EU server. The only problem is its ONLY on EGO servers and nothing else. Everytime it happens I test it on different games and stuff but its always only EGO. Restarting my internet sometimes helps sometimes doesn't. I have Cox and the highest tier you can have below fiber. So its not my end. I don't know why it happens.

What should be happening instead?
I should be getting my normal 30-40 ping.

Extra info? I didn't know where else to put this, I thought about making a CL but it's probably best to put here. Thanks.

possibly ISP restrictions at night? check with ur isp. Maybe make a spreadsheet over a week/few weeks to quantify it

yeah all the cs servers can be found at servername.csgo.edgegamers.cc so tracert jb.csgo.edgegamers.cc

Quickie sent me the traceroutes. It's a touch higher at the internet backbone - but nothing radical. It bounces kinda weird.

Goes from his router -> Cox > Telia Atlanta > Telia Chicago > Chicago NFO -> Server

Except when you look up the Telia IPs, they resolve to Europe.

might be actual european servers in which case possible connecting to a chicago vpn would hep with ping

no experience with vpns either what would you recommend?

They are if it is blocking your access to the servers. Personally, I had to use a VPN until my IP got unblocked.
